Fifth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament (5WCSP) Report

At the start of 2020, preparations were well under way for the fifth such Conference to be held in Vienna, Austria, but the COVID-19 pandemic led to the decision to hold a virtual segment of the Conference in August 2020. The in-person segment of the Fifth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament was finally held in Vienna on 7 and 8 September 2021, attended by Speakers and delegations from over 100 Member Parliaments, as well as high-level representatives from some 20 regional and other parliamentary organizations.
